Here is quote from the APeX guest book.
“I just got home from Junior High Youth Day and APeX was there it was sooo much fun. Brad is so funny and Gene showed us how he can get out of a straight jacket he looked so funny.”
The story of my life.
Autism in mysterious. We don’t know full what it is. We certainly don’t know why it happens.
According to the Autism Society of America 1 in 150 children born this year will be diagnosed (that is one every 20 second).
April is Autism Awareness Month. If you are paying attention to the news you might have seen a story or two.
I believe the untold story of Autism is that of parents of children diagnosed with Autism. 18 months ago I was completely unaware of what there lives are like. They fight a heroic battle everyday.
If you know one of these parents, please reach out to them. Give them a hand, a hug, or a prayer. You also might want to send them to this new resource.
Autism Parent Support Network
As far as I know it is the only resource on the web geared solely to helping these parents take care of themselves. [For obvious reasons I am partial to the resource.]
